Acne
Acne-prone skin needs consistency more than it needs strength. The most common mistake is attacking breakouts with harsh products, which damages the barrier and makes the next breakout worse.
Acne face wash
A gentle daily cleanser keeps pores clear without stripping. Wash twice a day, no more — over-cleansing is a leading cause of persistent breakouts.
Exfoliation and breakouts
Chemical exfoliation helps clear the dead skin and buildup that block pores. Introduce it slowly, twice a week at first, and stop if skin becomes irritated.
Do not skip moisturiser
Acne-prone skin still needs hydration. Skipping moisturiser dries the surface and prompts more oil production. Use a lightweight, non-comedogenic formula.
When to see a dermatologist
Painful cystic acne, scarring, or breakouts that do not improve after three months of consistent care need medical treatment, not skincare. Please see a dermatologist.
