Dark spots

Dark spots come from excess melanin, usually triggered by sun exposure or left behind after a breakout heals. They fade, but slowly, and only with consistency.

What actually works

Two things in combination: an exfoliant to speed the turnover of pigmented surface cells, and daily sun protection to stop new pigment forming. One without the other wastes your effort.

Sunscreen is the treatment

This is the part most people skip. Without daily SPF, UV exposure re-darkens spots as fast as any product fades them. In Pakistan’s climate this matters year-round, not just in summer.

How long it takes

Expect 8 to 12 weeks of consistent use before visible fading. Post-acne marks usually clear faster than sun-induced pigmentation, which can take several months.
